Guys. Repeating talking points from the climate debate about model uncertainty is not a compelling political argument while hospitals are making triage plans for the hour when they run out of masks and ventilators.

If you are making fun of social justice warriors who can't really grasp that things have change, and are talking as if their same old hobby horses are the most important angle on covid-19 .... don't be that person.

In the real world, there was never anything even remotely closed to a shortage of ventilators. Thousands remained unused and stockpiled in NY warehouses. You were conned because you are ignorant and believed everything you were told with verification.

There's still no evidence whatsoever that hospitals will be running out of ventilators. I was told it'd be happening last Sunday. It's Friday now. We still have 16,000 unallocated ventilators in the national reserve - let's see how many of those are even used.

The governor of New York saying our hospitals are running out of ventilators is actually a form of evidence

Name the hospitals across the country that have run out of masks and ventilators from over-run of virus patients.

I said "Are making plans for". But there is apparently a hospital in NYC using garbage bags for PPE, so ...

Are people using it as a political argument? That seems silly. The models are going to be in flux because we're learning so much so quickly. Iceland suggests asymptomatic transmission is higher than we thought.

PPE failure was a disaster, but hospitals have to plan for worst case which doesn't indicate anything about any model? Hell our peds department is prepping for adult patients but we only have 400 cases statewide
