Because no, he'd be saying "I've got this, don't worry." Which is, phrasing aside, pretty much exactly what Trump is saying, no?

I know when someone tells me something I absolutely only evaluate their words at face value and no other context surrounding the person or events in question!

Hehe, so you're an elected Republican or right-leaning columnist,

What does Obama's hypothetical response have anything to do with what is the right course of action for the president to take right now?
-
The point is that any POTUS likely would be saying ”we are on it” right now. So far we haven’t had the outbreaks that countries such as Italy, Iran, Korea, or Japan have had. The CDC is saying they are acting under the assumption that one is coming, but they aren’t alarmist.

He would be echoing what the CDC is saying, which is "we may very well have outbreaks but we can handle them"

I do remember the media and republican hysterics in 2014 when he actually did have Ebola under control.
-
Well except that Ebola had a 90% fatality rate and this one is more like 3%. Ebola is apocalyptically scary. World ending bad. This one?? If you are elderly is not good. Otherwise, chances are you'll live.

Hmmm. If only there were space between false denials and hysteria. But there isn't!

Be nice if nation was told what exactly our government will do when a hotspot occurs. BEFORE it happens.

Anybody who sits waiting for instructions from government is going to be left in the dust. Do your own damn research. I’ve been ready for this for weeks.
