This is just about the congestion in the moderate lane. It was clear going in that the best chance of beating Sanders was for 3 of those candidates to get forced out quickly. Instead, everyone attacked the guy who can't be forced out, and Warren's near-death campaign revived.

Is one plausible scenario that she is angling to be Bernie's VP? Beating up on Bloomberg doesn't do anything to blunt Sanders, who is her real competition.

But Bloomberg will broadcast his attempted kill shot on Bernie over and over. Not a lot of people follow debates, but they do get followed around by Bloomberg's social media ads. The question is, was this too late to affect the race?

I am genuinely confused as to what the Democrats — or the DNC, for that matter-are supposed to do to control these outcomes. Should anyone have been responsible for making sure Bloomberg was prepared for that debate? Or, conversely, should anyone control warren’s attacks?

You seem to be taking this as a criticism of moderate dems. It's not. I'm just pointing out that if you want a moderate to win, "moderate lane gets a fifth member while no one is forced out" is no bueno.
