I would love to understand the generational breakdown here. Noticed that my gen z kids barely use cash at all while people my age and older often keep it around for certain types of transactions or because of spending habits.

I always carry cash, even though I ise ApplePay when possible. Everybody accepts cash. I try to get my nearly-grown kids to at least keep a $20 bill on them for emergencies.

Less than that at my shop over 6 years. More like 10% cash, which stinks since a couple % is charged for cards.
