Also car companies see that happening and still they cannot do anything about it. (Having invested billions in car manufacturing plants) Also branding. There is no glory in making Ford cycle.

In places with high adoption (particulalry with teens), we find a hike in accidents/fatal casualties. Combined with a lack of infrastructure (dedicated lanes, negative sentiment from traditional bike riders), they are being met with stricter “car like” regulation (e.g licence)
