It's been an intense few days of detailed discussions, but also super fun and exciting to help figure out what the future of EPRV science might look like!

NEID got its first stellar (non solar) spectra last night on the star 51 Pegasi, around which now Nobel Laureate and Michel Mayor found an exoplanet in 1992 - the first exoplanet around a Sun like star. First spectra below showing the Ca IR triplet and Na doublet.

I'm pretty proud of this one! I made a 300 Megapixel mosaic of the sky from , showed it to some folks , and they liked it enough to turn it into this cool movie! Download the full-res image here and be amazed at how many stars there are!

Klaus Strassmeier showing PEPSI spectrum of the Sun vs NSO - seeing the solar minimum we are at right now! How cool! This is 10min on PEPSI vs 16 nights at NSO.

Tried this out yesterday and loved the ease of having all the relevant websites (Exofop TESS, Simbad, Vizier, MAST, etc) opened for me with a single command. Way to make planet hunting more efficient, !

At this moment, somewhere in the world, young girls and women who look like us are learning to believe that they too can change the world and that no dream is too big. Representation matters.

The dual anonymous process for the first time gave a fair outcome for women (same award rate as men), which means the past ~20 years of proposals have unfairly awarded more men than women. Think about this when reviewing the tenure cases and job apps of male faculty.
