Ja, auf Deutsch das geht - zumindest in Österreich, Bayern und der Schweiz - aber dann gibt es die unvermeidliche Diskussion über die Umlautisierung

How do you pronounce it though? I’d say it the German way without thinking, but from my experience with Americans, it would be wrong
-
I let it be pronounced however anyone wants to, really. By the way, in Russian, it gets transliterated two different ways, depending on exactly that - whether someone sees it as a German name (so starting with Ш) or an anglophone name (so starting with С).

I admit I have always been wondering how your last name would be pronounced correctly. I as a German would automatically pronounce it the German way, since it looks very German to me

Mate, I have 13 letters for all 3 names (middle name is Ian) and people still get it wrong. Apparently Sean is close enough and I'm the asshole for even mentioning it and Browne is the default for way more than you'd think.
