The gnarliest part of #Battletech isn’t the combat, but pilots spending months in medbay, and mechs in repair/refit, while C-bills are running. Railguns & missiles have nothing on the banksters.

Yes, getting a good brawler is surprisingly effective in close quarters and to quickly dispatch swarms of light mechs.

My problem is that I keep thinking I‘m wasting shot opportunities w every melee attack, or sensor-locking action. Which is why I should improve those tactics.

Sensor locking is awesome for LRM equipped mechs. Otherwise, very situational. But it's also good to take out pesky vehicles out of range. Some missions can only be done right with it (like assassination ones). Melee attacks are nearly always better than shot if available at all.
