I’m not necessarily saying “mass migrate,” Twitter and even FB, if it meaningfully complies w the GDPR, are essential networking/publicizing platforms. But we can’t expect them to be safe for *publishing* critical work.
What do you mean by "publishing" critical work? Have they ever been for that?Sharing links, comments, rants, opinions, discussions, etc. -- is that publishing? If you need a platform for publishing important stuff, isn't that what mass media are for?
Insofar as one's using the platform to convey essential elements of a story not published anywhere else, that's platform publishing. And no, the MSM don't suffice. If they did, eg. Wikileaks would never have risen to prominence.
