That's how it's meant to be. How it's been everywhere around the world for 150 years. It's just ridiculous how successful neoliberalism was in blurring the distinction between liberals and the left in the US and UK. And behind us, Canada, Australia, & NZ too.

Neoliberalism blurred political distinctions across the spectrum, as it successfully imposed fiscal orthodoxy über alles. And so did fascism, by imposing societal/militarist orthodoxy across the spectrum. They're basically bosom buddies by now.
