Confession. The last marvel movie I saw was Iron Man I think? Maybe The Hulk with Ed Norton? I've watched a few different TV show episodes but haven't finished a whole series.

But the infinity war was happening when I was a kid? Are all these films really necessary? Like.. I'm the sort of person who didn't think the walking dead TV show was necessary either.

I guess not if you look at it that way. Then again, I snubbed most of the superhero series growing up & I do relate to movie treatments easier, even though they're mostly truncated and twisted out of broader context.

I will add that the MCU is way more palatable than the DCU overall, w few exceptions, but both franchises exude the same problematic first world outlook the originals did.

Which batman was it where the key plot point was Wayne enterprises was spying on everyone secretly and he was still supposed to be the hero? I stopped watching after that.
