You wouldn't believe me if I told you how awesome this 8-bit, 16/48k gaming computer was & how many games I played on it for over a decade https://twitter.com/RetEvents/status/988440088936898562 … 1. Tau Ceti 2. Shadowrun 3. Lords of Midnight

I'll admit I was covetous of all the early Ataris (as well as the BBC Micro & the TI99/4A for its audio chip), but the Speccy was shipworthy for a lot longer than any other non-PC gaming device I'm aware of, except maybe the Amiga.
The funny twist being that the Amiga was designed by an Atari guy (Jay Miner) while the ST was designed by Shiraz Shivji, one of the C64 designers :)
The Atari ST was a work of art, and the first PC I ever really wanted to own, after Apple ][e. My dad managed to convince his state telco branch to buy one for admin work, and I got some mileage out of it ;)
Next time in Munich, you’re invited to play with the ST :)
