Struggling to get used to coffee without sugar. Artificial sweeteners taste like hot chemical trash. Any suggestions from anyone who's gone another route?

I use Splenda, it tastes great, but people keep warning me of my imminent death. That and my love of Coke Zero. But I swear everything else in my life is healthy!

I've tried it but it tastes very chemical to me (my mom always used sweet n' low, which is even worse!)

Does cold brew actually work over time to reduce dependence on sugar? I've only ever tried it twice, but I do like my filter coffee warm/bitter. "Get better quality coffee" is good advice, instant coffee (used in frappe) is usually crap Nescafe shelf powder.
