Need to blab about #Dark a bit, before I get to the last ep. It's arguably a brilliant, though drab, slow burner, but not primarily b/c of the mystery. In the way it examines the ailments of human community, it's the true successor to Twin Peaks.
That said, both Dark & Trapped are eminently binge-able (I generally don't binge series, but I double-tapped both). Also, Hollywood has nothing to match either, currently, to my knowledge.

Another thing common to Dark & Trapped, that elevates them above run-of-the-mill crime fiction, is the connection to local history & politics. Hollywood can stand to learn a great deal from both, but shouldn't try to appropriate (see also, this rant https://twitter.com/asteris/status/946909616121802752 …)
