This Lenovo/17.10 BIOS hell may be attributable to the BIOS s/w vendor (Insyde) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1734147/comments/191 … In which case, tip of the iceberg. Legacy BIOS is a pain, but nothing like this

I know, nothing new on there, the question is what’s causing the issue, and when will 17.10 get fixed. The larger question is to what extent Lenovo laptops, Ubuntu, Insyde BIOSes & UEFI in general are responsible
