I've been binging on quality news radio/podcasts lately (@BBCNewshour @pritheworld @reveal @onthemedia @democracynow etc.), feel free to suggest more good feeds. Radio (+text) >> video, imo
I've so far downloaded Newshour casts via at least 2 apps (@tunein & @OvercastFM), no login (or geolocation hijinks) needed

interesting method! shall have a ponder how this can be done on linux distros. Thanx all the same :)
-
I'll experiment as well, on Ubuntu, and report on results :)

RSS feed (http://podcasts.files.bbci.co.uk/p002vsnk.rss , taken from http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p002vsnk/episodes/downloads …) works fine in Vocal (http://vocalproject.net/ ), included in Ubuntu. More apps herehttps://www.makeuseof.com/tag/manage-podcasts-linux-10-apps/ …

ahh.. of course (RSS) thank you so much!! will give it a go :)
-
I'm just relieved that the BBC is keeping their RSS feeds alive & unrestricted, wish I could say the same for every media outlet.
-
would hate to think its just a stroke of luck tho! :) (hope not)
-
Heh, in such cases, I bet there's one, or more, proponents of openness w/in the org, and that popularity will keep their experiment alive ;)
-
ah yes, those quiet rebel types that keep the software alive most likely! until the managers send in the idiotboyz ;)
