We used to call early phones "παντόφλα" (slipper), then they got miniaturized, now we're back to 5"+. Go figurehttps://twitter.com/asteris/status/831517208626995200 …

The 8110 was the only 5.5"+ phone I ever used comfortably, excellent design. None of those "phablets" for me, thank you very much

Loved the 6300. Small, smart but not ‘smart’, sturdy, slick (maybe too slick–lost mine when it fell from my pocket in a London cab)

last Nokia phone I ever owned was the N900. Loved that Linux brick, but it was too unwieldy, repeatedly prone to breakage

heh, have to concede those Nokia bricklets were made of adamantium. But I'd veered off to early SE smartphones

never did Blackberries. Have to admit they were easy to work w social media apps early on, but prone to grit

Issue for me was, smartphones are ‘computers’; my Nokias (at least the series 40s) weren’t. Cue ADHD, anxiety, etc.

oh, but I wanted them to be; don't regret exploring early SE/Nokia smartphones, it was a rocky but fun ride @LisaMuggeridge
