And don't get me started on physical card security. I thought transactions were better protected in Europe, boy was I wrong.

There's absolutely no reason whatsoever for card companies to print out the CVV2 code on the back of their plastic, it incentivizes theft.

On that note, I successfully resisted having credit cards for over a decade. Managed fine with shopping & trips abroad, despite challenges.

Lastly, phone banking is laughably insecure, but try to point that out to a banker. They're unaware of security essentials. 1-time pads, yo.
