Plenty of nits to pick w Rogue One but it totally nails the frantic hope/despair calculus of what's at stake in the moment (and in our time)
erm, not exactly Revenge of the Sith-traumatic, but close in intent. (She's an archetypical Mary Sue, but Daisy made her work fine)

Thanks...I haven't seen Revenge of The Sith, I gave up at Attack of the Clones, but will ponder.
-
unfortunately, Rogue One has none of the artistry of, say, Westworld in establishing chars. But crowds will enjoy it regardless
-
Sure. Just my kid is unusually tender-hearted for a 12 year old, and if likeable main characters die I'll never hear the end of it.
-
better wait on it then. And withhold Revenge for a bunch more yrs. Watched it w my nephew recently, it was a gut-wrenching mistake
-
Yikes. Not sure I can keep him off Rogue One, with all the hype, but will warn him.
-
I wouldn't have taken my nephew to see Awakens either, but it wasn't my decision. Rogue One is even more made for adult fans
-
My son loved TFA, I'm struggling over Rogue One. Might go by myself and take him later if it's okay.
-
I'd suggest that too. It's not all bad, there's plenty of entertainment to be found, but you know us eclectic misers ;)

No-one ever says that about male heroes. Not Skywalker, not James Bond, not Jason Bourne, not Aragorn, wish-fulment characters all.

I can spell fulfillment.
