Even in the most dire & helpless situations, it's inhuman to deny people agency. Journalism is either humanist, or it's not at all.

Doctors know all that (or they should), plus "do no harm," and they can actually help/save people. Why would journalists aspire to less?

It's hard to walk that line & not cut corners. But doing no harm, at least, is a worthy pursuit while doing anything else. Esp. journalism.
