Conversely, Wasteland 2's screwy mission logic is pissing me off, esp. the emo manipulation. Love the concept, but makes me miss Fallout 2

@asteris bewarned though, you can't change the starting conditions. How I wish I hadn't turned on 'damage roulette' now but makes it tense! -
@leerf I'm not much for starting conditions, but I won't touch the not-so-long one, since I only ever play games once & want this to last -
@asteris the balance is terrific, feels properly difficult but not stupidly so like 'impossible' was in vanilla. I'm still scum-saving tho. -
@leerf I don't consider 'savescumming' cheating, rather, spending time to optimize strategies, played XCOM like this since the first game -
@asteris yep, know what you mean. I often try risky strategies knowing full well I'll reload. Trying to ironman Long War would be...stupid! -
@leerf wish I had the time, and nerve, to try playing ironman on any game. Btw, I still miss a lot of XCOM Apoc elements in the revival

@asteris i've been playing Long War for a few weeks now. It's great. Gonna take my time with it though. Maybe a year to complete. -
@leerf been watching@Christopher_Odd's walkthru to see how hard it gets, seems manageable, got the urge to deploy XCOM again myself :)
