Didn't see a single report earlier about nazis in the Moscow riot, but that's how they operate in Greece as well, inciting 'angry citizens'
@NataliaAntonova I understand media rationale of respecting self-appelations, but some media here called Fyssas' murderer an 'activist'

@asteris Well, it's two distinct movements here, at this point. One more visible (nationalists), one mostly underground (Nazis). -
.
@NataliaAntonova same in Greece, w variants, but media utterly failed in keeping up (+racist rhetoric), thus endangering lives & democracy -
@asteris Yeah, but in Russia you also have the difficult (often violent) relationship with the North Caucasus. And people like Navalny. -
@NataliaAntonova understood. I appreciate the press corps, but the lack of citmedia/anti-racist movt rpts in English from Russia is puzzling -
@asteris They're out there, but I don't see them writing in English. -
@NataliaAntonova same in many countries, ofc. I just wonder what Russia's coverage would look like if it had citmedia/activists like Egypt -
@asteris More diverse? ;) -
@NataliaAntonova also, possibly more effective (news+activism both). Brazil has somewhat the same problem, large footprint, inward discourse
