@asteris Or rather, the plot is genuinely good, but the *writing* is pretty brilliant.
Cel-shaded my avatar since I'm playing Borderlands 2 lately, outrageous guilty pleasure of a game (vestigial plot, OP chars, total carnage)

@JonasKyratzes while on the topic, what's your Borderlands 2 playstyle? I'm going with a versatile gunzerker (I never replay games, btw) -
@asteris I played Zero, which was a bit disappointing. Still loved the game, but Zero has design issues. -
@JonasKyratzes true, which is why I ditched him. I always go for the stealth types first. I don't really care for anyone's action skill, tbh -
@asteris Maya's action skill gets quite awesome with upgrades, as does Axton's. A friend of mine played Salvador and says the same of him. -
@JonasKyratzes I may start an Axton playthrough if it gets too hard for my 'zerker. Sirens = basically Mass Effect biotics, stasis is boring -
@asteris I doubt it will get too hard - I even survived with Zero, and playing Zero is practically suicidal. -
@JonasKyratzes btw, is it worth going back to Borderlands for someone who started with 2? From a playbility, not plot, PoV - 4 more replies

@asteris I'd actually argue the plot is pretty brilliant. There's a lot more there than it seems. -
@JonasKyratzes the dialogues are certainly brilliant, supported by great voice acting. Maybe I'm not cut out for so much frivolity
