US flight safety authority NTSB now giving presser on crash of 777 at #SFO. All evidence shows, pilot botched approach as 3 pilots watched!
@jonamorem also, check out 'cartwheel' convo btn me & @stefanpaetow @PaulLomax https://twitter.com/stefanpaetow/status/353993064215351296 … weird crash thru & thru

@asteris@stefanpaetow@paullomax But for the reason why it happened (!) not weird at all. Plane's movements were consistent with physics. - End of conversation

@asteris@stefanpaetow@paullomax Plane comes in, crashes tail, so head spins down. No tail = no steering. Plane goes on into sand, tilts toThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@asteris@stefanpaetow@paullomax one side by forces, wing gets caught in ground, whole plane due to speed and force pushed up and spins.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@asteris@stefanpaetow@paullomax It's what ppl called cartwheeling, while it wasn't. Video showing the crash shows it clearly, wing caught -
@jonamorem it's apparent on long range video but it'd help if closer range airport video was available/released. Also, flexy wing composites -
@asteris Yes, indeed. Not sure though if they will release that, sadly. Story is scary enough in words, let alone pics. -
@jonamorem given unique & thus far inadequately explained circumstances of crash, I'd say releasing all external footage is essential -
@asteris To be honest, published data that speed was at 103kts instead of minimum needed 137kts says it all, even without footage. -
@jonamorem sure, but I was wondering about 3D physics of impact. Even w.o 'cartwheel', stresses on fuselage were extraordinary -
@asteris Undoubtedly. The pics from inside the wreck show it. Unbelievable forces on fuselage, seats and passengers. Explains spine injuries

@asteris@stefanpaetow@paullomax I would not expect a plane to react any different to what happened, tho amazing ppl survived this even.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@asteris@stefanpaetow@paulloma The reactions of the 4 pilots before crash however remain totally incredible to this minute. Totally. -
@jonamorem@asteris@PaulLomax We'll just have to wait for the prelim NTSB report.
