@asteris You have no idea what "retaliation" means

@MaliciaRogue self-defense is one thing, retaliation another. Please don't condescend, I'm not your enemy :) -
@asteris Self-defense is a good thing, but it is not endless. Just too often retaliation is much bigger than whan u can sanely endure -
@MaliciaRogue that's where solidarity comes into play -
@asteris It's rare. Also, bear in mind some see men solidarity to "women" issues as patronizing. Very sexist pov, but needs consideration -
@MaliciaRogue discrimination is a fractally multi-serrated blade. Discriminatory PoVs also persist & thrive in anti-discrimination groups -
@asteris Nicely defined :) Tbh, I've encountered very few (less than 5) ppl who aren't sexist at all. V energy-expensive 2handle the others

@asteris Have you seen what happens to women when they speak up? cf. Rebecca Watson, Anita Sarkeesian. Not everyone can handle that. -
@scroeser don't forget I'm Greek. The duality of supposed progress & actual discrimination in our society is jarring. And yet, things change

@asteris r u kidding us? We have been raised with that.Feel guilty for any harassment received. Discrimination? Has always been on the menu. -
@KatKanelidou the only way to break this vicious cycle is thru self-empowerment. If you don't speak up, others alone can't do it for you -
@asteris Truth at all costs (MLK) is my moto. I always speak up,that's why I know the cost(s). No self-empowerment required, just a decision.
