I don’t need to imagine 50C cities, I’m already wasting away a little more every summer in the thermal island of my 30+ city. Thankfully, the breeze since last night makes 31C bearable right now.
The part that worries me the most is the observable heating up of the seas. Chalkidiki’s intra-peninsular seawater was piss-warm for much of last week (not entirely uncommon, but I don’t remember it that warm.)

The water here is usually cold it cool it’s been warm these last few years. We stopped the jet steam that regulates the planet. It’s a wonder it’s not worse.
