Admittedly, Westworld's Shogun World episode was pretty entertaining & impressive (except the boring parts w Dolores), though the nightmarish "Riddle Of The Sphinx" probably won't be topped this season. Root Jedi Maeve is too OP, but I'm enjoying her crew's D&D adventures.

There's still way too much hyperviolence & prop gore in this show, getting in the way of plot & character engagement. Let alone the puzzle box obsession, enticing but ultimately self-defeating. Maybe WW will manage to tell a straightforward, well-paced story next season.

I enjoy Mr. Robot's essentials way more than I do Westworld's, and found its 3rd season, purposeful and freed of puzzle boxes & mind games as it was, to be its better part so far. (Too bad s4 won't be out till next year http://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/mr-robot/269653/mr-robot-season-4-release-date-trailer-cast-plot-news …)

S3 aired Oct. through to mid-December last year, also pushed back compared to previous seasons. But it's fine, I can wait for a quality season. I think :p

As for WW, it's so intricate, I don't bother to work it out (and I love puzzles.) It's a chewing gum show for me, which is disappointing.

Exactly, wasted potential given how deep the themes it tries to juggle are. Which is why Riddle of the Sphinx was its strongest episode. I don't mind working out the puzzles, it's the navel-gazing & hyperviolence that breaks my immersion.

Nolan is so keen on his precious puzzles that he forgets movies are about storytelling -- my impression. Violence is indeed excessive.

Okay :) BTW, do you watch the Handmaid's Tale? So gripping. I can't wait for the next episode each time this season.

No, probably next batch, after finishing up Westworld & The Terror; my viewing schedule is way too dystopic/grim right now.
