@MMFlint Americans always have had the better than others tough guy image of themselves.Just plain violent by nature. -

@emlynaddison
@MMFlint I think greed + anger at not being taken care of properly when they did return.If country wouldn't protect them + -
@SOOTHE_ This is waaay beyond just returning vets--that all happens AFTER the gun culture & violence is already in full swing. Chicken & egg -
@emlynaddison Each generation has it's own thing that keeps it festering and the weapons get more sophisticated. Anger deeper.
-
@SOOTHE_ The greatest threat now are angry/depressed/troubled kids with parents/neighbors/friends who have guns. Not "psychos". -
@emlynaddison Make them get gun liability insurance. Insurance companies have to start paying out alot gun laws will change. INS x NRA
-
@SOOTHE_ Not a bad idea, mixing money into the solution, but I think a better solution is making gun ranges the only owners of guns. - 2 more replies

@MMFlint Tell the Brits and Canadians the U.S. ended it single handedly. It's more than arguable it's a bloody joke. cont. -

@emlynaddison
@MMFlint They did more than help. the U.S. did nothing single handedly with regard to the war. Only in their minds -
.
@SOOTHE_ I'm not US-born but I've read enough books on the topic to understand that w/out US size+$$$ WWII would have ended differently. -
@emlynaddison I agree size played a huge role. But size doesn't negate other's contribution & loss. U.S. tend to minimize it all the time.
-
@SOOTHE_ Yes, they do minimize all the time but I stand by my POV that without their "role" WWII might have been a very different affair.
