I agree 1000%! We need to fight COVID as long as we fought smallpox! Even if it takes longer, we have to quarantine and isolate, we have to make sacrifices of the greedy, the old and irresponsible! If you get sick that means you didn’t wear your mask!

Hi, I'm Australian and have an American partner. I can tell you that Australians are much more like Americans than we are like the English. I would suggest that the primary factor here is a government which is willing to intervene and to continue intervening.

Our federal government is conservative; a majority of our states are liberal. Pandemic management was handled by National Cabinet, an emergency council of premiers (state chief executives) consulting with the Prime Minister. That's what made the difference.
