    celery 4.4.0rc3 is on pypi with kombu 4.6.4, billiard 3.6.1 & py-amqp 2.5.1. thanks everyone who contributed to this releases. Celery 4.4.0 stable is due bye August 30/31.

    4.4.0rc2 is now on ! This fixed some regressions and bugs. expect rc3 with a newer version of billiard and py-amqp before 4.4.0 become a stable release in this month hopefuly. cc:

    This is a really neat idea: standards for tagging commit messages with emoji. I like 🐎 for performance. Needs 🦜 for something though.

    Rip Joe and thank you. Without you would not have existed. You were like Erlang, always available, never bounded. Your ideas will be reimplemented forever.

    It is with great sadness that I share news of Joe Armstrong's passing away earlier today. Whilst he may no longer be with us, his work has laid the foundation which will be used by generations to come. RIP , thank you for inspiring us all.

    The thing that stuck with me all these years was how he worked on a line editor at his first job… because full screen text editing hadn’t been invented yet! is the language that taught me the most about programming and shaped how I approach it.
