I just did another optimization pass on Katana ZERO. I'm pretty sure it could run smoothly on my phone at this point.

What do you look for when doing an optimization pass

I mainly look to minimize the impact of loops. Either by decreasing the repetitions (e.g reducing collision checks from every particle every frame to a periodically updated list of nearby particles), or by reducing the number/intensity of calculations made within them.
