After about 30 hours I think the Katana ZERO port to gms2 is complete and optimized! Lots of work but not as painful as it could have been.
GMS2 is a lot less lenient with sloppy programming practices. I ended up having to clean up a lot of my old code for speed reasons.

The end result is that the whole game runs about 100-200fps faster than before, so overall worth it!
