    Be much braver just ban them. Positively encourage alternatives such as paper bags, compostible bags, buy a shopping bag etc

    If you're a writer, I'd recommend volunteering as an assistant editor. Feel what it's like sending out rejections—especially for pieces you love. Then you understand that there are many factors, and that you'll lose sometimes. Makes it easier to accept your own rejections
