For example, why 10.ToString() has allocations, but 1 and 9 don't? https://sharplab.io/#gist:8af3685e003412e19d5db0b92a12badc … It's because of this optimisation: https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/blob/b86783ef9525f22b0576278939264897464f9bbd/src/Common/src/CoreLib/System/Number.Formatting.cs#L270 …

@ashmind, I'm getting exceptions when I run various versions of your example code: https://g.nw7us.us/2YbveGx pic.twitter.com/d1hSkj8bQC

Hmm, I might need to increase the timeout further (or optimize allocation monitor better).

I want that for F# too :D
-
Sure, the only reason F# is disabled in .NET Core is I can't solve https://github.com/ashmind/mirrorsharp/pull/97 …. Once someone familiar with F# compiler helps sort the issue, it will work for F#.

Works form async too?
-
Not at the moment, sadly. Even if I allow async, native part uses thread_static variables to enable and track profiling. I'll think about it.

Is there any way to use Inspect.Allocations outside of SharpLab?
-
You can clone the repo and extract the relevant files.
