This is me with various scenarios like 5 out of 7 days a week. I've tried so many different ways to try and shut off, every suggestion I've ever been given. I'm convinced my anxiety has spread to a general sleep anxiety, which is bullshit :(

The build up to getting into bed sets me off & then I panic about whether or not I'll even sleep that night. That's just not normal. I'm already fretting about what my brain will go into overload about hours before I even go to bed :( please tell me someone else is the same?

I get it fairly frequently, then usually later on "oh god it's 4am... even if I do sleep I'll only have like 3 hours sleep" followed by "I'm going to be so tired" followed by my brain going "hey, lets think about that time when you're younger and what a terrible person you are."

It's honestly the worst. Especially when you're just thinking of stupid shit that isn't even worth thinking about :/

Yep. One night I got kept awake because my brain decided to think about how rocky the elevator was at work that day... which lead to "hey, ever wonder how elevators actually work? No? Well you're not sleeping until you look it up."
That was one of the more light-hearted nights
