      When I lived in Paris I sort of shrugged and went to the park on a whim cause I was changing metro and saw the RER sign.

      Been there, done that. Woke up one morning, got to the RER station and was like "DLP" and called work and took the day off. xD

      Also on my last overnight visit I spontaneously decided to book my hotel room for an extra night and stay an extra day.
