I find it kind of interesting that some of the most popular things I've done have been pieces where I wasn't focused on doing art "right".

I had similar experiences with graphic design. I think when you're less concerned with doing what's "right" and just let (1/2)
heart/mind go with what feels right, rather than what's technically right, it shines through in the piece.
