      Final Fantasy also announced that they´re going to make it possible for players to play with each other cross datacenters, which basically means you can now play with your US friends from an EU account. Wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard does the same. Been a big request for years

      To clarify FFXIV has never actually had a region lock. If you have an EU acc you can still play on JP/NA servers & vice versa with that acc. The limitation was only being able to group with people in the same data center (i.e. WoW's old battlegroups) as the server you're on.

      But yes, no denying, it will be super hype if this is happening in WoW. It's something I pushed for a couple of times in the past, and I will be over the moon if it finally happens. Opens up so much possibility!
