I get this come up quite a lot from studios and from communities but I'm wondering... Do you consider the comms team (marketing, brand, community, social, PR) part of the dev team, yes or no? If you want to go into more detail in the replies, pls do!
I guess having been in the industry and knowing how publishing units can vary WILDLY between companies, or even regions within the same company, my answer would be: "it's complicated"
