Just to show that London Uni's aren't all fancy historic buildings - here's the concrete breeze block monstrosity that was the Uni I went to

And London City Airport was directly on the other side of the river to it, so you could study to the soothing sound of planes taking off and landing.
Oh and it's also near a sewage treatment plant too, so sometimes it smelt F R E S H
