They usually issue refunds for that kind of things, what was their reply exactly? 
Deleted the app but it was along the lines of "after reviewing a number of factors we cannot offer a refund on this occasion."

If I was to guess based on my days of CS work, it's because I've had ~€25 in partial refunds for missing items since January (which is tiny compared to the amount I've spent) so I prob hit a refund soft cap and support isn't checking the details and just auto-declining.
