On today’s #DesigningDLP: the Disney Stars on Parade floats renderings. 3 floats were designed (Opening unit, Crush and Frozen), 3 were imported from Tokyo’s Jubilation Parade (Peter Pan, Lion King and a retheme for Toy Story), plus a copy of the Dragon from the Magic Kingdom.pic.twitter.com/uTaXCLA6OP
I can see how in theory it sounds cool but it fell flat.
Yeah when I first saw it I thought "oh that's cool, don't see Finding Nemo in parades much." Honestly the bigger shame is how long parts of the float have been left broken for... In future parades I'd be down with them keeping performers with the puppets, but a full float, nah.
It (and the Nemo scene in Illuminations) definitely felt like DLP wanted to ride the wave from Finding Doty’s success. Except it became dated FAST.
