I struggle to recognise the country I'm from anymore.
It sets a very dangerous precedent when a party can win on a campaign of blatant lies, fear, smear - masking a manifesto that's more of the same austerity and avoiding debate when called out on it. #electionresult2019

Hardest part about not voting tory is trying to explain why you're not voting tory to anyone who voted tory; regardless of the party you do vote for. The people I know who voted blue did so out of some convoluted scheme, not because of how it would affect them personally.
Many of the comments I've seen on FB from distant friends etc. tend to be because they didn't like Corbyn. They also don't like Johnson, but like him slightly more than Corbyn so voted for the Tories.
Barely a peep about the actual policies.

I saw someone in my FFXIV fc that voted tory because "their policies have been misrepresented", then again I thought he wasn't a very pleasant person overall before this

I'm no fan of Corbyn's, but the LAB policies are more progressive than the continued austerity, make the poor poorer and the rich richer, of the CON. Tho If Corbyn became PM via a hung parliament, I think he would've lasted about a year before a LAB leadership challenge started.

The policies meant nothing as Corbyn was hoisted up on the mast as the villain in this pantomime; with another Labour Leader things might've been different but it was too easy a target for boomers and gammons to point the finger at him as a reason to not vote LAB
