In the not so distant future at Valve HQ. Peon: Sir, we're losing too many exclusives to other stores. What do we do? *Gaben peers lifelessly into space* Peon: Sir? *Gaben lets out a long, slow breath* Gaben: It is time.

*Gaben presses an inconspicuous black button on his desk. A loud humming noise is heard as the desk opens, liquid nitrogen pours forth as a blackened glass case rises from a hidden compartment, bearing only the marking "In Case of Emergency: Break Here."* Beancounter: What is it?

*Gaben merely smiles as he exchanges his regularly glasses for a pair with a distinct black rim, reaching below his chair he revealed a simple, unassuming red crowbar* Beacounter: Sir, I don't understand?

*Gaben's brow furrows as he raises the crowbar above his head, before smashing it down onto the glass box. As the box shatters a sound wave echoes around the room as if they very fabric of time and space had just been irrevocably altered...

...placing the crowbar down, he reached into the remnants of the box to fish out a single sheet of A4 paper. Slowly he handed the sheet to the Beancounter* Gaben: This is what we do... *he motions to the text on the sheet of paper* ...look. Beancounter: Sir... this is genius.

*The Beancounter hurriedly vacates the room in a renewed furore. Gaben slumps back into his chair, the growing light of sunrise piercing through the windows behind him. The camera pans down to the sheet of A4 paper laying on the floor, giving the audience a clear view of it*
