Finished Shadow of the Tomb Raider over the weekend. Some thoughts now I'm down from game completion high. The exploration, tomb raiding and puzzle solving its strength - probably the strongest of the trilogy in that regard, marred only by fickle controls at times (1/3)
Combat is hit and miss. Far too many kinds of special ammo upgrades and craftable gear but very few of it actually felt worthwhile. AI could be quite weird at times, sometimes being triggered by the slightest thing, other times failing to detect Lara in obvious places. (2/3)

The story was okay. Some of the revelations in the last 30 minutes of the game are a bit jarring, with previous "threats" being killed off-screen. The plot as a whole was enough to pull along, but it rarely felt compelling - a Dan Brown-esque thriller without the suspense. (3/3)

Overall it was still a fun game I sunk 30 hours into. I've enjoyed the TR reboot trilogy as a whole. Looking forward to where the series goes next. Personally I'd like to see less focus on action/combat, more tombs/puzzles with a less hand-held narrative, some big AR potential.
