On a personal level I'm sad about this as I never really got to experience much of a non-25th Christmas and looking back through old photos I was kinda excited to see red and gold again. But last year's decorations did look amazing at night.
Yeah, I get why that would be disapointing. The blue colour does pop out more though, I think it was an effect that worked a bit nicer.
I dunno, I remember one of the criticisms about the blue/silver colour scheme of the 25th was that the muted colours contributed to the "cold" feeling during the daytime on cold, wet, winter days.
I think the red worked better at day and the blue at night. I guess that they had to balance it out.
