The news of the shooting at a Madden tournament is sickening and saddening. Although far from perfect, the communities around video games are where a diverse collection of people come together in the spirit of play. To think that this space isn't even safe from gun violence
is tragic and heartbreaking. Schools, concerts, conventions, pubs, shopping centers and now video game tournaments. How many more lives will be taken before change is made? How many more dreams will go unfulfilled before change is made? How much more joy will be robbed
from innocent people before change is made? It's time - it's time for change.
