Oh wow, I actually spent just over 2 years working in TV! Proper entry level, overworked and hugely underpaid work, but still. 
Definitely a tough industry to make a decent living in without a good network of contacts.

Aye I was a runner on This Morning for a bit (back when Fern Britton was still hosting it with Phil) and then had a stint as a librarian at a company that worked with a lot of football clubs (no idea how that happened considering I have the most casual of interests in football)
