There is potential for a good narrative here, but I’m beginning to think it isn’t a good MMO narrative as it doesn’t account for players. Might research how GW2 and FF14 handle their storylines. Most community discussion is moot as horde players can’t Saurfang it up in BfA.
I played FFXIV a lot and it doesn't really have much player agency in it. Sure you sometimes get to pick dialogue choices but they are inconsequential in how the story plays out, or how the gameworld reacts to the player, it's the same regardless of what the player chooses.
I suppose this whole getting hyped for Saurfang thing feels disengenous to me having seem the body of horde content in 8.0. I suspect that a lot of people who are excited right now are going to be suddenly disappointed.
On the flipside it'd be a very short expansion if everything was resolved before a patch was even released?
