Yeah I feel they could alternate. Parade one night, fireworks the next (like Fri: Parade, Sat: Fireworks, Sun: Parade, Mon: Fireworks)... nights with just a goodbye from Mickey midweek during low seasons.
Although I hope what they do once the WDS expansion is finished, is have night time entertainment in both parks at the same time ala Disneyland & DCA. Paint the Night/World of Color being on the same time as Fantillusion/Fireworks really helps spread the crowds out.

Investing in a nighttime parade should be high up on DLPs list. It can be new for the 30th anniversary in Disneyland Park and then they can sashay it over to WDS park for peak season nighttime offering whilst fireworks happen in Disneyland Park
